Maintenance Guide for Used Tractors

Proper maintenance of used tractors can ensure performance, extend lifespan, and cut costs. Master these key points for efficient operation.

I. Daily Checks

  • Tires: Regularly check air pressure. Examine the surface for wear, cracks, bulges, and address issues promptly.​
  • Brake System: Monitor brake pad thickness and replace when nearly worn out. Check brake fluid level and condition, and replace if needed.​
  • Lights: Ensure all lights, including headlights and turn signals, work properly.​
  • Engine: Check engine oil level with the dipstick. Inspect coolant level and watch for leaks.

II. Regular Maintenance

  • Replace engine oil and filter as per the manual.​
  • Change the air filter regularly for smooth engine air intake.​
  • Check transmission oil and replace if necessary. Inspect drive shaft connections and universal joints, and repair as required.​
  • Check suspension components and tighten chassis bolts.

III. Seasonal Maintenance

  • Summer: Lower tire pressure slightly and pay attention to heat dissipation. Check the cooling system fan belt and clean the radiator.​
  • Winter: Switch to winter engine oil. Check the antifreeze freezing point. Maintain the battery, check the electrolyte, and charge when needed.
