   • Unlike a flatbed or curtain-side trailer, it has no floor or walls beyond the bare frame.

   • The most crucial feature is the presence of twist locks (also called container locks or securing pins) at specific points on the frame. These are rotatable locking mechanisms that engage with the corner castings of an ISO shipping container, securely attaching it to the trailer.
